In putting Lantignie on his label, he is pointing to the fact that this gamay comes from a specific part of Beaujolais, even if it’s not one of the ten crus. But maybe it should be number eleven because this wine is FIRE. It’s lighter, less structured and more wild and free.  There is an overripe strawberry jam energy here coupled with nice acidity that kind of makes it the perfect pizza wine. The grapes are also grown at a pretty high elevation and and have sandy and loamy soils so the wine really takes on characteristics derived from the place. Gotta love that Terroir!! It's amazing! The wine has touches of herbs and spice to go along with the abundant red fruit; its minerally and soft. Very delicious!
