Dropping into the Jura for a sneak peak of lighter style reds. The Jura is a region in France that is guided by generations of growers, traditions, food and vibes. The Jura is cool. But also old school. There are several dishes innovated in the Jura with Frogs legs caught from the streams and rivers that run through it, and if the comte cheese doesn’t have a snap to it, you can just pack it up and go back home. The wine is otherworldly, the only way I know to describe it. It's most famous for oxidized white wines and a wine called Vin Jaune, but the red wines are really special and not as common as the whites. This is a blend of three red grapes, two of which are commonly found in the Jura: Trousseau and Poulsard and the third being Pinot Noir. I love this Jura trilogy!! The wine is light but supple, it has cherry fruit but also forest floor aromas. It’s effortless but also has soft tannins- it’s actually quite perfect. The Marin Fumey is part of a young generation that is bringing Jura and these super special wines into the future. Marin is a farmer first, his approach to viticulture is precise and borderline obsessive. Everything is organic and with the least amount of intervention possible!

Serving temp: Chilled red zone! You can throw it in the fridge, but at least have it at cellar temp around 65 degrees.
Pairing: Frogs legs! LOL…really nice with a cheese board; hearty soups; roasted salmon.
