It’s a super light and fresh red wine, it almost looks like a deeply hued rose, but it’s not ! It’s salty, crunchy, tart and watermelon forward. What’s wild about this wine is that they are no longer making it. The domaine has closed its doors ! But that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy this while it lasts. Savoie is a really lovely, almost alpine part of France and so the wines grow in cooler temperatures, specifically in valleys that do catch some of the sunlight. A dreamy, bright, fresh gamay that is really delightful for summer.
Serving temp: chill this down and make it fridge cold !
Pairing: tacos; burgers; sea urchin pasta
