Brendan Stater-West is an American winemaker who fell in love with the Loire Valley, specifically Saumur, and so he moved there and apprenticed until he could secure some vines of his own. He worked underneath Roland Guiberteau, arguably one of the greatest winemakers in Saumur and let his passion and deep love of wine guide the course of his future. L'Ardillon is a south-facing parcel set on the limestone hilltop of Brézé. His style is very lean and zippy chenin blanc.
